Mario Hilario visits Trattoria Appia on Atwells Avenue Providence to learn more from owner, James Cardi, about some of their classic food items.

When talking about some of his favorite menu items, James Cardi says the house made potato gnocchi is really good. Cardi also recommends their popular wood fired pizza to Mario and notes he actually built the pizza oven himself!

Cardi says at the restaurant, they like to focus on fresh ingredients whenever possible.
